Topher Sipes, virtual reality and public artist, will perform live drawing using VR and projection. His improvisation, a dance-like performance set to music, will be inspired by and projected onto the paintings and sculptures set up in the studio space that I’m sharing with Caroline Walker and Linda Wandt. Sipes' February collaboration with the Houston Symphony, was dubbed by The Houston Chronicle as “Fantasia in real time.”
Limited capacity and masks required! The event will start at 7 pm and include time at the end for checking out the technology Topher is working with. We will also livestream this event on instagram and share a video on our websites afterward. We hope you can join us in person or online to kick off the official EAST weekends.
